Case Manager/Crisis Worker

Under the general supervision of the Intervention Services Supervisor, the crisis worker is responsible for the direct provision of services to the general public for the primary purpose of preventing disabilities, promoting mental and physical health, and improving social and community functioning. This includes on-call crisis coverage as it relates to Chapters 51, 54, and 55 providing telephone and mobile crisis intervention, crisis counseling, assessment, and referrals through a rotation of daytime, evening, and weekend hours. The crisis worker also provides short term service coordination and monitoring of services to a specific group of individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability, emotional disturbance, substance use disorder, and/or chronic mental illness. The case manager is expected to work on a highly independent basis and to work cooperatively with community providers, law enforcement, school personnel, clients, and families
