Child Protective Services Program Initiatives Supervisor

The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF), Division of Safety and Permanence, Bureau of Safety and Well-Being is currently recruiting to fill a Child Protective Services Program Initiatives Supervisor in Madison, WI. The starting salary is between $23.38 and $35.00 per hour ($48,630 and $72,800 annually), depending on qualifications.
This position is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and monitoring of specialized Child Protective Services (CPS) program initiatives advanced by the BSWB and to provide additional support, guidance and direction related to the use of child welfare data and information evaluate and enhance program initiatives led by the BSWB. The position supervises three professional staff within the BSWB Child Welfare Policy and Program Section and oversees specialized program initiative contracts for which Unit staff have program initiative responsibilities.

The position coordinates with and ensures alignment of related CPS program activities and responsibilities within the Bureau and across the Division programs and with other DCF Program Divisions. This position works directly other DCF staff from Finance, Budget and IT to support the successful development, implementation and monitoring of identified CPS program initiatives. Finally, this position will be responsible for ensuring appropriate and necessary collaboration with other key stakeholders, such as other state agencies, researchers, and other critical entities such as county and tribal agencies, as well as provider and advocacy agencies, integral to the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the specialized CPS program initiatives advanced by the Division.
Minimally qualified applicants will have:
•Experience providing oversight of or directly conducting the analysis and integration of data and other critical information in the design, implementation and monitoring of projects or programs
•Experience managing and/or facilitating short and long term projects (i.e., identifying goals, working with varying timeframes, limited resources, etc.)
•Experience in Child Protective Services or other human services related field

Well-qualified applicants will have:
•Experience with contract monitoring and/or procurement
•Experience using research and/or data to implement program or policy changes
•Project Management experience (i.e., negotiating project priorities or deadlines, reviewing and approving timelines, collaborating with stakeholders, monitoring progress, etc.)
